Siblings of Steel

Mia is a headstrong girl with a vast knowledge of military tactics, but almost none about “making friends” or “being cool.” Physically she is now 11. She can be cocky and overconfident but is kind (when she thinks no one is looking), so as not to show weakness.

Carol likes 90s action cartoons and Animal Crossing. She and her husband Wayne are part of a secret foster program for alien kids emigrating to Earth. Carol is also an alien having been raised on Earth from early childhood. She is shrewd and smart and works from home as a web developer with her husband, Wayne.

Wayne is a comically ripped guy, a real “strong father figure” type. He is the only human in the house. He loves sci-fi and fantasy novels like Wheel of Time and The Stormlight Archive. Wayne and Carol work from home on a joint web development business.

The oldest sibling at 15, Betty is surprisingly timid. She likes reading in the library and making model spaceships. She has a lot of anxiety about getting her learner’s permit. 

Syth likes guns. She’s not violent, she just thinks they’re neat. At 13 she’s the second oldest, but takes the role of leader amongst the Matthews siblings. She spends a lot of time out back at the homemade shooting range Wayne set up for her, where she practices with her bibi gun. She also likes jogging.

At 9, Job is the youngest Matthews. He likes playing house and can’t wait to be a dad. He also loves Sonic and Transformers comics. He is usually Syth’s second in command of sorts, often working to offset her intensity.
